Children of all ages are warmly welcome. A children's play area and open lawns are available on-site. Children must be supervised at all times, especially near the garden, open areas and forest edges given the wildlife surroundings.

Aranyasun is a proudly pet-friendly property. We ask that pets are kept under supervision, are well-behaved, and that owners take responsibility for cleanliness and the comfort of other guests and the resident wildlife. See our guide to a pet-friendly stay in Masinagudi.

Home-style meals and breakfast can be arranged. Kindly inform us of meal preferences and any dietary requirements in advance so our kitchen can prepare accordingly.

As a property within the Nilgiris and the Mudumalai Tiger Sanctuary, we uphold strict environmental standards. Single-use plastics — polythene bags, 1–2 L plastic water bottles and plastic-packaged soft drinks — are banned across the Nilgiris, with fines from ₹500 to ₹10,000. Please carry 5 L cans or reusable bottles. Help us keep this landscape pristine by minimising waste and respecting nature.

We share this land with wild animals. Do not feed or approach wildlife, avoid venturing out alone after dark, keep food secured, and follow all guidance from staff and forest authorities. Drive slowly and cautiously on forest roads, especially at dawn and dusk.

The Bandipur and Thorarapalli (Mudumalai border) gates close at 9:00 PM and reopen at 6:00 AM under Supreme Court orders. Please plan your arrival before 9:00 PM. Liquor may not be carried across the Tamil Nadu / Karnataka border. Safaris must be booked through authorised operators and the Forest Department.
